BioSupply Crossroads
Strengthening America's Biomanufacturing Supply Chain
Kansas Manufacturing Solutions is leading BioSupply Crossroads, a regional initiative focused on bringing production of critical biomanufacturing materials back to the United States. The project is one of five funded through a $38.1 million investment awarded to the KC BioHub consortium through the U.S. Economic Development Administration's Tech Hubs Program.
As part of this initiative, KMS connects manufacturers with the resources, expertise and partnerships needed to expand capacity and diversify into the growing biomanufacturing industry. This work builds on KMS's role as the official Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center for Kansas, helping manufacturers strengthen their capabilities, adopt new technologies and prepare their workforce for one of the nation's fastest growing sectors.
BioSupply Crossroads is part of the broader KC BioHub consortium, a partnership between BioNexus KC, MRIGlobal, Kansas Manufacturing Solutions and more than 115 regional organizations working to establish the Kansas City region as a national leader in biomanufacturing.
What this Means for Kansas Manufacturers
This initiative opens new pathways for manufacturers ready to diversify into high growth markets, strengthen their supply chains and play a role in building a more resilient, competitive biomanufacturing industry here at home.
