History
Since 1991, Kansas Manufacturing Solutions, formerly MAMTC, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, has provided highly affordable consulting services of all kinds to small and medium-sized manufacturers in Kansas. We were one of the first seven Manufacturing Technology Centers (MTCs) in the United States, an affiliate of the The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program. The MEP program has expanded dramatically and we are now one of 51 Centers serving all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
NIST started the MEP program because US manufacturers were facing growing global competition. Companies needed help as they slowly shifted from post World War II manufacturing methodologies.
Over the past two decades, Kansas Manufacturing Solutions has made a significant financial contribution to the Kansas economy and established several offices throughout our state to better provide manufacturing management advising services to the entire Kansas manufacturing community.
Our Impact numbers show that we have been successful in our efforts to provide a solid ROI to Kansas manufacturers and to grow Kansas manufacturing and the Kansas economy.
